BBQ Pro Shop has started a new YouTube Channel! And to start things off, we are introducing a series of videos featuring The Pit Masters and Flavor Freaks from Flavor Anonymous, Shane Draper and Dylan Lipe! Inside the BBQ Pro Shop Test Kitchen, Shane and Dylan were given the challenge of using the rubs and seasonings from https://www.bbqproshop.com to cook something other than traditional BBQ. Their answer? Wagyu slider burgers cooked using the “inside out” method with the Loot N’ Boot Everything Rub. To do this method, you simply work your rub into the ground beef for color and flavor on the inside.
After breaking this out into four individual Wagyu slider patties, Shane and Dylan used their thumbs to make an imprint in the middle of each patty. This is to prevent the burgers from puffing up too much while cooking. Next, they seasoned the meat in Boars Night Out White Lightning Double Garlic Butter to create a crust of garlicky goodness on the slider. Then placing a cast iron pan onto the grill, they preheated the pan and dropped them onto the cooking surface with a “Push” and a “Punch” and cooked the patties. As a reminder, you could also do this on a Blackstone or Blue Rhino flat top as well. Once the sliders are done, they add cheese, fresh sliced onions and then flip the melted cheese on the bottom and cap it with a fresh potato bun. These sliders look delicious! This is the perfect kind of project you can try at home because you don’t even need to use a grill! The challenge was to cook something other than traditional BBQ and we think the Flavor Freaks succeeded big time!
