Nigel, the creator of the Coastal Goods line rented an apartment in Paris near the Place de la Bastille, famous as the place where the French Revolution began in 1789. He was near a bistro that served American-style burgers and seeing Le Burger American prominently written on a menu chalkboard in such a historically significant French setting, made him smile. He never ventured to taste Le Burger American, he imagined what such a burger would taste like, blend with flavors of Dijon mustard, garlic, shallots, poivre and of course fleur de sel. Alas, all these years later, this revolutionary Burger American seasoning blend has been born.
