Chef Hans Wild Rice Pilaf with Oysters and Shrimp Creole

Chef Hans Wild Rice Pilaf mix is a perfect side dish but can also be used as the main player. When using wild rice in your favorite creole dish, it adds the perfect compliment to a classic dish. Check out this recipe to make some delicious Oyster and Shrimp Creole.

Creole Rice Pilaf
Wild Rice Pilaf with Shrimp and Oysters

1 package Chef Hans Wild Rice Mix
2 1/4 cups water
1/2 stick butter
1 pint oysters
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can mushroom soup
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup half-and-half, may substitute milk
Chef Hans Creole Seasoning to taste

Preheat oven to 300°.

Cook the wild rice mix in water according to directions and set aside.

Melt butter in a saucepan and saute the oysters and shrimp over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the mushroom soup, green onions, Worcestershire, and half-and-half.

Bring to a simmer and fold in the cooled wild rice blend.

Season to taste.

Place in a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes.

Serves 4.
