You don't have to use apples. You can create something new every time you bake. Strawberries are great with this. Serve with your favorite ice cream.
Ingredients: sugar, flour, spices, salt, caramel coloring, natural and artifical flavorings.
Directions: Preheat oven to 375ºF. Pour 1 can Apple Pie filling or sliced apples into 9x9 or 8x8 inch baking dish, spread evenly across bottom. Combine 5 tbsp. softened butter with apple crisp. Mix together with spoon until well saturated and crumbly. Spread mixture on top of apples. Bake 30-35 minutes. Cool before serving.
Suggestions: For a more crumbly topping, chill crisp and butter mix in refrigerator for 30 minutes before spreading over fruit. For a novel taste treat, substitutes 2 1/2 cups fresh sliced strawberries for apples and add 1/3 cup sugar. Serve with vanilla or your favorite flavor ice cream.
